International Scientific Conference

We are pleased to announce that an international conference which is traditionally organized by the Faculty of Economics, University of Niš, will be held on October 15, 2026 in Niš, Serbia. This year topic will be "Innovation, Sustainability and Geopolitics: The Future of the Global Economy".

In an era marked by profound technological change, climate challenges, geopolitical tensions, and structural transformations of the global economic system, this conference aims to provide a multidisciplinary platform for discussing the key forces shaping the future of economies, societies, and institutions worldwide.

The conference is structured around three main thematic tracks:

• Innovation, Digital Transformation and New Growth Models
• Sustainability, Green Transition and Inclusive Development
• Geopolitical Shifts and the Reconfiguration of the Global Economy

Official language of the Conference is English and Serbian.

Instructions for writing papers

The papers should be written in English or Serbian. Author/coauthor is allowed to submit maximal two papers, but only one paper as the first author.

The paper should be 6-10 pages in length and include text, illustrations, tables, references and other. The paper should be formatted according to the Template. The papers that do not conform to the instructions of the Template will be returned for revision and fixes.

Template  Statement   When submitting the papers you should specify the thematic area.

Full paper submission deadline: 20 August 2026.

Received papers will be reviewed by anonymous reviewers, and the authors will be notified of the decision by September 20, 2026.

Registration fee

The registration fee of 30€ per author (VAT included) or equivalent amount in Serbian dinars on the day of payment is charged per participating person. Registration fee covers:

• Conference proceedings and conference material
• Refreshments during the Conference
• Lunch after the Confence

The registration fee should be paid, after you have been informed about the acceptance of your paper, on the account of the Faculty of Economics:

• for payments in RSD account number: 840-0000032800845-19 or
• for payments in EUR by the following instructions.

The payment can also be done in cash at the registration desk on the day of the Conference.

Publishing opportunities

• Conference Proceedings. Manuscripts for the Proceedings should have a minimum of 6 pages and should not exceed 10 pages. A maximum of three authors per paper is also required.
• The academic journals Economic Themes and Facta Universitatis: Series Economics and Organization. We are pleased to announce that selected papers, presented at the Conference, will be published in the journals Economic Themes (http://www.degruyter.com/view/j/ethemes and http://www.economic-themes.com/) and Facta Universitatis: Series Economics and Organization (http://casopisi.junis.ni.ac.rs/index.php/FUEconOrg). The papers submitted for the journal will undergo the regular review process.
